The painting refers to the terrains, through a palette of colours relating to Alawa country in Southern Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. The oblong shape represents the sugarbags or native bees depositing honey into rock crevices. The red border represents the rocks surrounding Minyerri ( Alawa country) and the resting place of the sugarbags or native bees.

Barney Ellaga is famous for his feathery or stippled unique brush strokes in his works.
