The artwork depicts Aboriginal iconography which explains as follows:

  • The U shapes with lines represent awelyeaboriginal glossary button
  • Each large circle represents a campsite
  • The small coloured circles represent bush melon (fruit)

The artists depiction refers to the womens ceremonies performed at Atnwengerrpaboriginal glossary button in central Australia. The circles represent bush melon fruit, which once grew plentiful, but now days difficult to find. The Aboriginal women gathered the fruit, either to be eaten or dried, when bush tucker became scarce.
