The white dots depicted in this artwork represents the eggs of the Budgerigar nesting in between the tall spinifex grass. The Budgerigar Dreaming is a significant ancestral Dreamtime story , which recounts the ancestral birds flight path along the Lander river system, creating important sites.

The Budgerigar is the symbol of the love-bird to Aboriginal people of this region. Their iconography is the universal language of love.
