The painting recounts the journey of the Tingari ancestors in the Dreamtime, as they travelled over vast tracts of land in the Western Desert, creating and shaping sacred ceremonial sites.


The Tingari ancestors performed ceremonies and instilled law and culture to the Pintupi Aboriginal people of the Western Desert.
