This artwork depicts a flock of Budgerigars. Its name is actually derived from the Aboriginal language for the bird. The Aboriginal name translates to 'good eatting' .
The Budgerigar is a small parakeet Australian usually light green with black and yellow markings in the wild. In central Australia certain Aboriginal clans are attached to the Budgerigar Dreaming.
