The painting depicts the Lander River (blue) - the birthplace of Malcolm Jagamarra, a significant place where ceremonies, sacred songs, dance cycles and many Dreamings evolved. The Lander River is of deep spiritual meaning to the Warlpiri Aboriginal people in Central Australia.
