This artwork depicts the journey of Janganpa aboriginal dictionary button ancestor who travelled vast tracts of Warlpiri country in central Australia visiting significant sites during the Jukurrpa aboriginal dictionary button.

  • The U shaped icons with spear and shield represents the janganpa men
  • The E shaped icons represents the tracks that the ‘janganpa’ left as he moved around
  • The curved lines represent sand hills, Warlpiri country

The custodians of Possum Dreaming belong to the Japaljarri/Jungurrayi men and the Napaljarri/Nungarrayi women.
