The painting depicts Aboriginal iconography, referring to the Lightning Dreaming.

  • This icon = represents the lightning

This story belongs to Ngala and Petyan (Aboriginal tribal names)

During the Dreaming a big bolt of lightning hit the side of a hill and created a big cave. This cave has an entrance and exit.

When the lightning bolt hit the hill two big boulders came flying out and landed on a hill point five kilometres away from the cave.

These stories belonging to this dreaming are sung during men's ceremony.
