This unique style of artwork is inspired by the burn off season, when all the tree and crops are burnt to make way for new life. Every year, when the time is right and the crops no longer bear their fruits, they will be burnt and discarded to make way for the new harvest to come again the following year.
Here is a poem written by the artist depicting the vision for this painting.
In the autumn time when the tree were tall
They would be sacrificed and they would fall.
Burning from the tips to roots
No longer worthy to bear their fruits.
The fire swells, crackles and sparks
Stripping the tree of its bark
The flames blazing with all its might
Turning an otherwise night sky bright.
