The painting depicts an aerial view of creek beds, clay-pans, creek beds and soakages surrounding Watarrka in central Australia. This area has also been home to the Luritja Aboriginal people for the last 20,000 years and part of the canyon is of scared Aboriginal ground.


Kapi- Nguru in Luritja language means "from water".
